Bubbl.us is a great tool for creating mind maps online. Teachers andstudents are able to create accounts and save their mind maps. You can embed the mind maps into blogs or websites. Bubbl.us also allows you to email your mind map and collaborate with others online on a mind map. I worked with a teacher who had her students to create mind maps about important events in their lives. She was able to save all of her students’ mind maps to her account so that she could assess their progress without having to print copies of each mind map. Go Green! The students loved Bubbl.us This Web 2.0 application allows for creativity with color and design. It is amazing how well they utilize new technological applications with little instruction.I also used Bubbl.us with a group of special education students to create a mind map about the story Guji Guji. We read Guji Guji using an incredible website Storyline Online which is sponsored by the Screen Actors Guild (SAG). Actors and actresses that are members of SAG read the stories as the pages flip. It works really well with the Smartboard. Many of the students in the special education class are nonverbal and some are functioning on  a Pre-K through 3rd grade level. They really enjoyed Guji Guji. One student who I’ve never heard speak responded to my questions about the story .
